What is the office of Orientation and Transition Programs?

Orientation and Transition Programs (OTP) is the office that supports your transition to VCU from the time you accept your offer of admission, to your first day of class and beyond. Our team oversees all Orientation events for new undergraduate students and New Student Convocation, your official academic welcome to VCU. 

Our Mission

Preparing new students and their families to be successful at Virginia Commonwealth University through innovative, engaging and tailored Orientation and transition programs and services that meet the needs of VCU’s diverse student population.
